New Scrapbook Line: "Main Character Energy" by Shimelle for American Crafts

Shimelle Laine aka Glitter Girl has long been a favorite of scrapbookers. She has a very fun and cheeky style that's different from anything else out there in the scrapbooking world.

So let's take a peek at her new line called "Main Character Energy" (see what I mean? Cheeky!)

If all these gold enamel dots were silver, I'd buy this. But I really ... well, HATE is a strong word, isn't it? It's not like world peace is at stake here; it's just scrapbooking. But I hold a strong dislike for most gold scrapbooking products.

I'm a "silver" girl and I'm really tired of the underrepresentation of silver in the scrapbooking industry. So I hate to start this off with a negative (the only one) - but I had to get that off my chest. Phew!

My 5 Favorite 12 x 12 Papers from Main Character Energy

Papers tend to be my favorite part of any scrapbooking line, including this one. So I picked my 5 favorite sheets to show you.

A very cool take on clouds - which could be rainclouds except they're so happy-looking, I'm not sure, lol. And a super cool B-side with multi-colored asterisks basically. 

Again, unique - with the flowers first following a normal pattern up top, then kind of drift off the bottom of the page. Or if you flip it, I guess those flowers are floating up! I've been reviewing scrapbooking products for decades now, and it's really hard to see something totally new to me. That's a beautiful shade of fuchsia on the back side.

This one is my FAVORITE favorite! Sunburst papers are pretty common but I love the addition of the concentric circles that make lines within each "sun ray." Those will be fun to journal on, among other things. The color combo on the B-side large polka dots is gorge.

Le sigh ... cameras! What scrapbooker doesn't like a good camera paper?

Other than the lovely "Lovely" tag, I'm not a huge fan of the designs on this cut-apart sheet.  But I do like the sayings and find them very usable: 

"This is my real life"
"Dreaming and doing"
"Happy people are the prettiest"
"You are a limited edition"
